An experienced leader with a passion for people, culture and team building, Alex founded Legacy Pines Capital with one purpose in mind: to provide business owners with not only a monetary exit but also the peace of mind that the right team will be a steward of their legacy and business in the local economy for decades to come.

Alex’s passion for small business goes back to his first job as a sorter on the tomato line of a local family-owned produce business, where he observed the value of loyal employees and a low ego, high impact, roll-up your sleeves leadership style that he strives to embody today. Prior to founding Legacy Pines, Alex spent nearly a decade in investment banking at Barclays where he worked with private equity firms, helping them acquire, operate and sell privately owned companies across a broad range of industries.

Alex received an M.B.A from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and a B.A. from Georgetown, where he was a member of the men’s soccer team. In his free time Alex enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, basketball, and mentoring college students and aspiring entrepreneurs. Originally from Greenville, South Carolina, Alex currently lives in Richmond, Virginia with his wife, Morghan, and their two children, Jack and Grace.
